FIRST ALERT WEATHER: Chilly temperatures for Tuesday morning

(WAFF) -

You’ll be stepping outside to temperatures that are very similar to yesterday’s. It’s a chilly morning, and areas of frost can be expected. We’re generally in the low-to-mid 30s this morning with a calm wind.

That wind will increase once the sun’s been up a few hours, and it will be a breezy day. South winds this afternoon should be around 10-20 mph with higher gusts.

Temperatures will warm up quickly with plenty of sun, and highs should top out in the upper 60s. A few might make it to 70° generally west of I-65. Skies will stay clear tonight, but lows will be milder…staying in the upper 40s.

Clouds will increase for Wednesday with breezy south winds continuing. Highs should make it into the lower 70s. Skies will be overcast by the overnight hours and lows will stay close to 60. A cold front approaches the Valley on Thursday.  Ahead of the front, rain showers will develop by the late morning.
