FIRST ALERT WEATHER: Strong winds with warm temperatures

(WAFF) -

We’re starting today about 5-10° cooler than we did yesterday. Temperatures are generally in the mid 40s to lower 50s. There could be a few foggy spots this morning, especially in valleys and near rivers/lakes. Outside of any fog, skies are clear.

We’ll see plenty of sunshine this morning, and temperatures will heat up quickly. We’ll warm into the mid and upper 70s by midday with highs pushing into the lower 80s. Winds will be strong out of the south at 5-15 mph with higher gusts.

A cold front will push into the Valley overnight, leading to an increase in cloud cover starting this evening. A few showers, perhaps a t-storm, are possible through the night.  Lows should drop into the low-to-mid 50s.
