Madison police interviewing witnesses after shooting on Brass Oak Dr.

Madison police are investigating a Thursday afternoon shooting.

Around 12:30 p.m. someone pulled out a rifle and fired multiple shots from the front porch of a Brass Oak home.

Police said there were people trying to get into two different vehicles outside of the home.

Nobody was hit during the shooting.

Police said one bullet did hit a neighbor's home across the street.

Madison police tracked down the two vehicles at a nearby apartment complex.

The yellow truck and SUV have been impounded and are part of the investigation.

Madison police said no one is under arrest or charged at this time. They are investigating conflicting stories and trying to sort it out.

Police are questioning four people. One of those people is believed to be the shooter.

At this time, police are not sure how many shots were fired but witnesses report a lot.

"Somebody's shooting out of that door into that front Tahoe sitting in the street," said Darell Smith. "Two black kids fell around in it and left. I don't know. I can't believe they didn't kill one of them. He shot about eight or 10 times."
