FIRST ALERT WEATHER: Warm temperatures with scattered storms

(WAFF) -

Once again we’re starting this morning a few degrees warmer than we did the day before. Temperatures are generally in the mid 60s which is actually warmer than our average high for today. It’s possible we could set the record for both the warmest low and high temperatures on this date.

For Huntsville, those records are 62° and 79° respectively. Temperatures will warm quickly today despite a fair amount of cloud cover. Highs will push into the upper 70s to near 80° with breezy south winds. Scattered storms should push into the Valley from the west this afternoon.

While rain is not a guarantee for everyone today, you’ll probably want to keep the umbrella handy if you’ll be out this afternoon or evening. We’re in store for another warm night with lows staying in the 60s.

Our weather stays unsettled for Friday and the weekend. Although there is a good chance for rain on any day through Sunday, we’re not looking at widespread rain all day long. Instead, those showers will be more occasional/periodic in nature with mostly cloudy skies.
