AT 10: Huntsville City Council reveals new plans for downtown City Centre development

. -

Good Evening,

I don’t know about you, but I am over winter! I am ready for some warmer weather. This cold, rainy weather has me longing for summer. Luckily, Brad says our weekend will be warm with temperatures that feel more like spring. I plan to make the most of it and spend some time outdoors for a change. Here are some of the stories we are working on tonight for WAFF 48 News at 10.

A big announcement is headed for downtown Huntsville. WAFF 48's Franklin White was there at the Huntsville City Council meeting this evening and will have a report on what will be the first phase of downtown's City Centre.

Also, officials have suspended the search Thursday night for two missing boaters in Lauderdale County. Multiple agencies spent most of Wednesday night and Thursday afternoon on Pickwick Lake searching for brothers Jeremiah and Jacob Sanders. Authorities launched the search just before 8 p.m. Wednesday after family members said the brothers never returned from a fishing trip on Pickwick Lake.

Reporter Jake Berent will have more on why a parent is furious about an incident that happened at her son's daycare. She says her son was left in soiled clothes for hours and the daycare did nothing about it. Find out more about her complaint tonight.

Please join us at 10 for the latest on these stories and more.
