FIRST ALERT: 1 dead in wreck on Highway 36 in Danville

(WAFF) - 1 dead in overnight wreck

The Morgan County Sheriff's Department confirms one person died in a wreck Thursday night. The single-car wreck happened on Highway 36 in Danville just after 11 p.m. One person died on the scene. Their name has not yet been released by authorities.

Union files lawsuit against TVA

A nationwide union has filed suit, saying the TVA broke an agreement to pay their nuclear plant security guards what they deserve. The United Government Security Officers of America are saying the TVA refused to renegotiate wages, something they agreed to do three years ago, but have not fulfilled their promise. The union wants officers to be paid the prevailing wage as defined when comparing it to the rest of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission's Region 2 security officers.

Noticeably milder temperatures

You'll be noticeably milder this morning compared to Thursday with some area warmer by as much as 20 degrees. Temperatures will generally in the mid-to-upper 40s for the morning with mainly clear skies and plenty sunshine into the afternoon.
