FIRST ALERT WEATHER: Rainy Monday to start your work week

(WAFF) -

Rain showers can be expected throughout Monday and it will be heavy at times, with many seeing 1-2” of rain. The flooding threat should remain low given dry weather the last few days. You may hear an occasional rumble of thunder, but no stronger storms are expected.

For the most part, temperatures will range from the mid-40s to near 50 during the morning hours. Highs for the afternoon should push into the mid-50s, keeping the threat for any wintry weather to our north and east. Evening lows should bottom out near the upper 30s. Steady rain should taper off this evening, but an isolated shower remains possible overnight and on Tuesday.

Tuesday should be a windy day and highs stay in the mid-50s Tuesday and Wednesday. Skies will be clearing on Wednesday which will lead to that night being the coldest of the upcoming week with lows in the low-to-mid 30s. Look for plenty of sunshine Thursday afternoon with highs topping out in the mid-60s.
