Crews battle early morning blaze in Eva

Multiple crews were on hand to battle an early morning blaze in Eva that broke out shortly after midnight on Buck Road. Fire crews from Ebenezer and Rock Creek worked to put out the blaze. No was inside of the mobile home when then fire started and there are no reported injuries.


2 transported to hospital in overnight wreck

Traffic is moving smoothly again after an accident brought westbound traffic to a standstill around 2:30 Monday morning. The vehicle was traveling west when the driver lost control went in the median causing the car to flip into road. Firefighters say the vehicle then caught fire. Crews were able to get both the driver and the passenger out safely. Both were transported to Huntsville Hospital, with one of the victims suffering from serious injuries.


Scattered showers expected throughout the day

Rain showers can be expected throughout the day Monday and that rain will be heavy at times. Many will see 1-2” of rain with locally higher amounts possible. The flooding threat should remain low given dry weather the last few days. You may hear an occasional rumble of thunder, but no stronger storms are expected.
