Employees at a grocery store in Florida were in shock after an 8-year-old boy attempted to rob them.

WPTV in West Palm Beach has surveillance video of King Foods and Meat Bazaar where the incident took place.

WPTV said the store clerk said the boy entered the store confidently wearing a motorcycle helmet and a sweater over his mouth so only his eyes were showing. He said the boy pointed a gun at the cashier.

"He told the cashier 'give me the f-ing money,'" the clerk said.

The clerk and another employee took the gun out of his hand and grabbed him.

Investigators told WPTV the boy stole the gun from his mother.

The child was taken to a juvenile assessment center and charged with attempted armed robbery with a firearm and aggravated assault, but the state decided not to press charges.

However, WPTV said police told them if the child doesn't stay away from the store and attend a diversion program, the charges could be reinstated.
