Taqueria El Paiso in Decatur scored an 80 during their health inspection. The Morgan County Health Department  reports a worker touched ready to eat food with their bare hands, which can cause cross-contamination. Cooked beef in storage reportedly was stored 24 to 31 degrees above the temperature required to prevent bacterial growth in cold-holding food, and cooked chicken in storage was 20 to 25 degrees off the mark.

The major violation Taqueria Acapulco involved bacteria prevention, too. The health department reports several food items that require time and temperature controls didn't have marks to indicate when the food was made and when it would expire.

Donna's Barn & Cafe in Elkmont scored a 78. Like all cold food, raw eggs need to be held at no more than 41 degrees. The Limestone County Health Department reports finding a half flat of raw shell eggs on a counter at 82 degrees. The inspector also reports there was hot food that was not hot enough. Nacho cheese was 10 degrees below the required temperature, and mashed potatoes were five degrees off the mark.
California Grill in Huntsville is one of four Kitchen Cops High Performers that scored a 99. The others are Lenae's Place in Huntsville, Apple Lane Farms in Madison, and Bumpers Billiards in Huntsville 99

The Subway on Jackson Highway in Sheffield is one of seven high performers that scored a 98. The others are Robert Trent Jones at the Shoals, Southern BBQ in Muscle Shoals 98, BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse at Bridge Street Town Centre in Huntsville, Sakura Japanese Steakhouse in Huntsville, The Garden Cafe & Grille in Madison 98, and the Zaxby's on University Drive in Huntsville.
