Iowa Votes, Severe Weather, & Super Bowl. A very busy Tuesday!

Hello Tuesday, mother nature will you bring us storm damage or will we manage to get through without any?

Yes, today is a First Alert Weather Day! Our storm team is tracking a system that will move into the valley later this evening bringing strong winds and even the possibility of some spin up tornadoes. That's why we're watching it closely and want you to as well.

With that weather concern, some school districts around the valley have already made the call to cancel after school activities and may even consider early dismissal. We'll keep you posted.

The votes are in for the Iowa Caucus. You have to tune in to see if your predictions came through. You may be surprised where the Republican Party front runner, Donald Trump landed in the votes.

"I'm not dropping out because of the votes, I'm dropping out because voters are sick of me," You've got to hear which Republican candidate said that to a crowd of supporters.

State side, it's also the first day of the legislative session. It will likely face another budget problem in the general fund with seemingly less ways to pay for it. Tune in at 5:30 a.m. & 6:30 a.m. to see what Alabamians actually want lawmakers to accomplish.

By the way, the Governor's State of State Address will air live on WAFF 48 tonight.

In other news, a Huntsville man is in custody after police say he shot and injured a woman in an apparent domestic dispute. We'll have all the details for you in a live report at 5:00 & 6:00 a.m. on WAFF 48 News Today.

Plus, we'll reveal a Super Bowl ad ahead of the big game that may leave you scratching your head. Catch that in 'What's Trending' at 5:50 a.m. Yes, we've switched some things around in the show so our trending segment is a little later in the show.

Alright, I hope we all have a safe Tuesday. See you starting at 4:30 a.m.
