FIRST ALERT WEATHER: Cool start to the morning with afternoon highs reaching the 50s

(WAFF) -

Your Thursday morning temperatures will be running about 5° cooler than compared to Wednesday's temperatures. For the most part, winds are calm. You may have some frost to scrape off the windshield, and there could also be a few pockets of fog this morning.

With temps below freezing, that fog could put a light glaze of ice on elevated surfaces; be sure to use caution if you come across a bridge while it’s foggy.

Skies should be mostly sunny with the temperatures warming into the lower 50s with mid-50s possible to the west of I-65. Skies will stay clear tonight and lows should fall to near freezing for Friday morning.

You can expect plenty of sunshine for Friday afternoon with high in the the low-to-mid 50s like Thursday. We’re milder that night and lows should stay above freezing. It will start feeling more like spring over the weekend with Saturday’s highs back into the 60s.
