This morning, we are taking time to remember a tragedy in America's space program. Good morning. Trent Butler here. 30 years ago, the Space Shuttle Challenger exploded just 73 seconds after liftoff. All seven astronauts were killed. Today is the NASA Day of Remembrance.  

Many people are also talking about tonight's Republican presidential debate, but the main topic of discussion isn't fighting terror or creating jobs.  Instead, it's who isn't showing up for this debate. Despite a lot of criticism from other GOP candidates and from Fox, which is televising the debate, Donald Trump says he won't be on the stage tonight. We'll tell you why. 

A police chief in the Tennessee Valley is facing civil rights charges this morning.  Stevenson Police Chief Daniel Winters is accused of physically assaulting a suspect.  We'll have the latest in this investigation.
