It's a First Alert Weather Day

Good Morning TN Valley.

Overnight it was all about the rain, well today it's all about the snow. We have Meteorologist Lauren Jones monitoring condition minute by minute as we prepare for that rain to switch over to snow later this morning. Tune in for this snowy forecast on WAFF 48 News Today.

Multiple school district have already made the call for early dismissal with the threat of snow hitting the valley. We'll have the schools scrolling at the bottom of the screen during the show or you can just click the closure & delay tab right here on waff.com.

We're also monitoring travel for anyone hitting the roads or air later today. This storm system isn't just impacting us here in the valley. It's a massive system sweeping across the entire northeast so expect issues with travel.

Do you remember that crazy weather we had of the Christmas holiday? In the aftermath of all that flooding, parts of the valley is getting some good news this morning. Several counties in our area is getting Federal Disaster Relief. He which counties and what's headed their way at 5:00 a.m. & 6:00 a.m.

Also, we're hearing details about the search for a missing toddler in Tennessee that ended in tragedy. Noah Chamberlin's body was discovered nearly two miles from where he went missing a week ago.

Alright, let's get to the weekend already.

See you starting at 4:30 a.m.
