Multi-car wreck sends 2 to hospital

A multi-car pileup involving a police cruiser sent two people to the hospital Sunday night. Police say five cars total, including one police cruiser, were involved in the crash on Byrd Spring Road and Memorial Parkway. Two people were taken to Huntsville Hospital; their injuries and conditions are unknown at this time. The police officer involved was not injured.

Bitterly cold temperatures to start work week

Temperatures will be dropping into the low-to-mid 20s across the Valley Monday morning due to an arctic cold front. Temperatures in the teens are possible closer to the Alabama-Tennessee line but a north wind at 10-15 mph will make it feel even colder, with wind chills of 5-15° possible. Skies will be partly cloudy Monday morning, but should become sunny into the afternoon. Temperatures will slowly recover through the day, but highs will stay in the mid-30s with wind chills in the 20s all day.
