FIRST ALERT WEATHER: Thursday temperatures reaching 50s

(WAFF) -

Skies will be clear Thursday morning and temperatures won't be quite as chilly as Wednesday, although most spots are only a few degrees milder. Temperatures will be ranging from the mid-20s into the mid-30s but will warm up quickly, reaching the low-to-mid 50s by midday with highs to around 60.

You can expect plenty of sun through the day with clouds slowly increasing by the late afternoon. Clouds will continue to increase by the evening hours and skies become totally cloudy overnight with light rain showers possible after midnight. Overnight lows will be warmer and should stay in the lower 40s.

Skies will be cloudy on Friday with a likely chance for light-to-moderate rain showers on-and-off throughout the day. The heaviest rain will likely track to our south across southern portions of the state and into Georgia. Highs will still make it into the mid-50s before a cold front pushes through overnight.
