FIRST ALERT: 3 Powerball winners reported in CA, FL, TN--More on WAFF 48 News Today

3 winners to split historic jackpot

Jackpot-winning tickets were drawn in Chino Hills, CA, as well as locations in Tennessee and Florida, for Wednesday night's record-setting Powerball for $1.6 billion. The winning numbers in the largest Powerball ever are 8-27-34-4-19-10. The winners can opt for annual payments over decades or a lump-sum payment. The winners' names have yet to be revealed.

Family displaced after house fire

Multiple units were called to an early morning house fire in Huntsville Thursday. Five crews with Huntsville fire were called to the two-story home on Esther Avenue in Huntsville just after 1:30 Thursday morning. Investigators believe the fire began on the second floor, causing fire and smoke damage to the entire home. However, the cause of the fire remains unknown. The family of three were able to make it out of the home safely but have been displaced due to the blaze. The Red Cross is assisting the family at this time.

Temperatures warming into mid-50s

Skies will be clear Thursday morning and temperatures won't be quite as chilly as Wednesday, although most spots are only a few degrees milder. Temperatures will be ranging from the mid-20s into the mid-30s but will warm up quickly, reaching the low-to-mid 50s by midday with highs to around 60.
