HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

When you hear the phrase "car theft", you think of a vehicle being stolen.

But this week we have a different sort of car theft, as in stealing something from a parked car.

The man is shown on surveillance video leaving a local Wal-Mart after using a stolen credit card. This happened July 15th and was one of several stops police said this guy made.

Police said this started at First Hill Circle in South Huntsville.

A woman made the mistake of leaving her wallet and other valuables inside her car. But the crook made the mistake of being seen very clearly using a stolen card.

The man was wearing a white t-shirt and long, black basketball pants also made stops at the Liberty 2000 gas station and McDonald's.

Do you have any idea who he is?

This could put a big wad of cash in your pocket.

There is a reward of up to $1,000 waiting for you if you can help us find this man.

Showers and storms will be ongoing across the Valley this evening. The most widespread rain will be over northeastern AL, but additional scattered storms will track into the Shoals from the west. That round of stormy weather will head east with time and should be out of the Valley after midnight. The threat for severe storms is low, but a few strong storms are possible.
