FIRST ALERT WEATHER: Clear skies, cooler temperatures

(WAFF) -

Wednesday morning will start out about 5° cooler than compared to Tuesday, with readings in the mid-to-upper 20s. Winds could still be around 5 mph out of the north, making it feel more like the upper teens and lower 20s when the wind is blowing.

Skies will be clear through the morning and you can expect plenty of sunshine throughout the day. Temperatures will warm quickly, around 40 by lunchtime.  Highs should push into the mid-40s this afternoon with lows dropping to near freezing into Thursday morning.

Thursday is likely the warmest afternoon we see for the next week, as highs push into the mid-to-upper 50s with mostly sunny skies. Clouds start increasing by the evening with skies becoming cloudy overnight. As a warm front lifts north from the Gulf of Mexico, scattered showers can be expected throughout Friday. Highs will still make it into the lower 50s, but will turn colder into the weekend.
