FIRST ALERT WEATHER: Frigid temperatures starting off your work week

(WAFF) -

You'll certainly want to bundle up and dress in layers Monday! Temperatures will be well below freezing Monday morning, with readings generally in the upper teens and lower 20s. For the most part the wind is calm, but at times it will pick up to around 5 mph, making it feel more like the lower teens.

Skies will be clear during the morning and you can expect mostly sunny skies into the afternoon. Temperatures should climb through the 30s through the morning and top out in the lower 40s for a high. You'll see a few passing clouds by the evening and lows should be slightly milder, dropping into the upper 20s.

We’ll see a mix of sun and clouds Tuesday with more substantial cloud cover by the late afternoon as a re-enforcing shot of colder air makes it into the Valley. It could be breezy at times with wind gusts around 15-20 mph. Afternoon highs should still make it into the mid-to-upper 40s, but lows will fall back into the lower 20s.
