(WAFF) - It's not quite as chilly Thursday morning, with temperatures above freezing for many. We'll start out in the mid-30s for many, although an east wind at 5-10 mph is making it feel cooler in some spots. Wind chills will be in the upper 20s and lower 30s, which is a touch milder compared to yesterday morning.
You may see some sunshine through the morning, but by the afternoon, skies will become cloudy. Despite the clouds, temperatures will be a couple degrees warmer than Wednesday with highs in the lower 50s. We'll stay dry into the afternoon, but rain showers should approach northwestern Alabama around 4-7 p.m. and then spread east with time. Light-to-moderate rain continues overnight and lows should stay in the upper 40s.
