U.S. Attorneys: AL 'must follow' SCOTUS ruling
The U.S. Attorneys Office says Alabama must follow the Supreme Court's ruling on same-sex marriage. Wednesday, Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore issued an order to stop the issuing of marriage licenses to same-sex couples. U.S. attorneys Kenyen Brown and Joyce Vance White issued a statement in response late Wednesday night and said, "We have grave concerns about this order, which directs Alabama probate judges to disobey the ruling of the Supreme Court. Government officials are free to disagree with the law, but not to disobey it. This issue has been decided by the highest court in the land and Alabama must follow that law."
Powerball jackpot goes unclaimed
There were no winners in last night's drawing for the historic $500 million Powerball jackpot. Slightly warmer morning ahead
Thursday will start off a bit warmer, hovering in the mid-30s for the most part. The wind chill is not as harsh as it has been the last couple of days, but it will cause temperatures to feel like they're in the upper-20s to low 30s. Temperatures will peak in the lower 50s by the afternoon with increasing cloud cover throughout the day.
