(WAFF) - We sure hope you can gather up some cans, macaroni and any non-perishable food and come out and visit us today in Madison County! Good morning! Trent Butler here. This is the final day of the WAFF 48 Canathon. We had a great turnout in Decatur on Thursday! Students from elementary, middle and high schools were a huge help as thousands of cans and other items were donated. Let's keep the momentum rolling as we try to reduce hunger here in the Tennessee Valley.
This morning, flags are being flown at half staff at the Veterans Memorial in Huntsville and at many locations across the U.S. This is happening as Americans honor and pay tribute to the 14 people who lost their lives in the mass shooting in San Bernardino, California. We'll show you what some people in the Valley are buying to make sure they're protected.
How much do you like Starbucks? Would you pay extra to have your java delivered to your home? We'll tell you more as Starbucks tests out a new service.
