From Alabama Athletics release:
Huntsville's own Reggie Ragland has made a name on the football field for his outstanding play.
But Wednesday, the SEC honored him for his efforts off the gridiron.
Ragland was named to the SEC's 2015 Community Service Team.
A member of the Alabama football team's leadership council, Ragland sets an example for underclassmen on how a student-athlete should carry
himself at the University, both on and off the field. He has dedicated himself to making a difference in the community by contributing numerous service hours across his time as a member of the Crimson Tide.
Across his four seasons in Tuscaloosa, Ragland has put together an impressive list of volunteering opportunities and has gone above and beyond what is asked of Alabama football student-athletes.
In all, he has totaled 50-plus hours of community service across double-digit volunteer opportunities that include visits to hospitals, schools and churches.
