HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

It's been a slow go all day long thanks to the rainy weather, and it's exposing drainage problems citywide.

The steady showers are keeping Huntsville Public Works Department crews busy responding to your SeeClickFix reports.

One stop at 1215 Monte Sano Boulevard was due to backed up pipes, which needed reinforcement from the city's jet truck.

Another job on Annandale Drive and Briarcliff Road was easily fixed when crews cleared the S-Type inlets, but there's more to Briarcliff Rd., including erosion complaints reported via SeeClickFix.

People who live there didn't want to go on camera, but said the eroded roads are more apparent, especially when it's raining cats and dogs - similar to current conditions.

Video we captured Tuesday shows several patch jobs and countless puddles of sitting water that homeowners on Briarcliff Rd. want fixed.

We're told it's a matter of resurfacing the residential road, yet it's not on Huntsville Public Works' resurfacing short list.

Nonetheless, it's a job for another day when the roads are dry.
