Christmas parades will be marching their way to a town near you

It is that time of year to sing carols, sip hot chocolate and go to Christmas parades.

Here is a look at parades in your area:

  • Decatur - Dec. 7 at 6 p.m. in Downtown Decatur
  • Elkmont - Dec. 5 at 1 p.m.
  • Florence - Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. in Downtown Florence
  • Guntersville - Dec. 12 at 5 p.m. in Downtown Guntersville
  • Hanceville - Dec. 5 at 2 p.m. 
  • Madison - Dec. 12 (lineup begins at 4 p.m.; parade starts at 5:30; see below for route)
  • Phil Campbell - Dec. 10 at 6 p.m.
  • Smith Lake Park Boat Parade - Dec. 12
  • Tuscumbia - Friday, 6 p.m.
  • New Market - Saturday, Dec. 12 at 1 p.m.
