FIRST ALERT WEATHER: Cloudy, cool start to work week

(WAFF) -

This Monday morning will start out with mostly cloudy skies and temperatures that are at least 5-10° warmer than they were Sunday morning. Expect more clouds than sun throughout the day with temperatures warming into the mid-to-upper 60s for highs. We should stay dry today with any steady rain showers missing us to the north and west.

The weather becomes more unsettled later this week as a strong storm system takes shape to our west. Skies will stay mostly cloudy for Tuesday with a slight chance for rain by the afternoon.

Strong winds will be the bigger story Tuesday, starting out around 10 mph for the morning, but should increase to speeds closer to 15-20 mph with gusts 25-30 mph for the afternoon. Tuesday's highs should make it to near 70 with the strong wind continues into Tuesday night as heavier showers begin moving into the Valley.
