Let's just say it was a very busy and sad weekend.

First, Governor Bentley is making headlines for saying "No" to taking in Syrian refugees. There's a refugee processing center in Mobile, but in light of this weekend's attacks in Paris, he will not open up the state to refugees. It's important to point out, there have not been any Syrian refugees relocated to Alabama yet.

Plus, we've been tracking developments overnight with France's prime minister saying there's been more than 150 police raids in France connected to the attacks.

In the valley, many are mourning the lives lost in the terrorist attacks in Paris. We'll show you all the efforts to honor those happening in the valley at 5:00 a.m. & 6:00 a.m. on WAFF 48 News Today.

Also, Dekalb County Deputies are still looking for at least two people in connection with a weekend shooting death in Henagar.

We'll try and lighten the mood with "What's Trending" at 5:25 a.m.

Prepare for a dry but chilly day. Meteorologist David Ernst will help get you out the door for your weather on the 10s.
