(WAFF) - Friday morning will start out temperatures that are more than 20° cooler than yesterday, ranging from the mid-30s into the lower 40s for the most part. Patchy frost is possible in our cooler areas, which are the northeastern parts of the state along with southern Tennessee. Skies are clear, but there could be some fog near rivers and lakes.
Expect temperatures to warm quickly through the day with plenty of morning sunshine. Highs will top out near 60 this afternoon with a north wind around 10 mph. Temperatures this evening will drop quickly, falling into the 40s by 7 p.m. So if you venture out tonight, be sure to grab your jacket.
The National Weather Service issued a freeze warning for Saturday from 2 a.m. until 8 a.m. Be sure to bring in any pets and any plants you're concerned about. Expect another mostly sunny day, but highs should remain in the 50s. Lows will once again bottom out around freezing Sunday morning.
