FIRST ALERT: Deputies, police on the scene of shooting in Harvest; 1 dead, officer injured in Birmingham car crash

18-year-old shot in Harvest

An 18-year-old man was transported to the hospital after being shot in the chest at a home in Harvest. Madison County Sheriff's Deputies and Huntsville Police are both on the scene and say that it happened at a home on Thunderbird Drive. The man was transported to Huntsville Hospital for his injuries and his condition is unknown at this time. Officials say that they do have 1 person in custody at this time.


1 dead, officer injured in car crash

A man is dead and a Birmingham police officer was injured after a car crash in Birmingham. The officer was taken to UAB hospital for a gash in his leg and a possible collarbone injury. The identity of the man killed is unknown at this time. Police are still investigating the cause of this fatal accident.


1 injured after bullet grazes head

Huntsville Police are investigating a shooting that happened near south Parkway early Thursday morning. Police say that a man was grazed in the head by a bullet near East Gateway Drive then drove himself to Walmart to call 911. Officials believe the suspect got away on foot. The mans injuries are non-life threatening.


Rainy start to Thursday morning

Thursday will start out with scattered rain showers but should clear out of the Tennessee Valley by 10 a.m. Temperatures won't warm much for the rest of the day, hovering in the upper 50s and low 60s.
