FIRST ALERT: Potentially strong storms rolling into the Valley; At least 6 people dead in Arkansas bus crash

Potentially strong storms heading towards Valley

Storms are making their way towards the Valley right now and some have the potential to become strong as the day moves on. While there is the potential for those storms to have 30-40 mph wind gusts, the threat for them to become severe is significantly low.


At least six dead in bus crash

An early morning charter bus crash has killed at least six people and injured scores of others. It happened in North Little Rock, Ark., just after 1 a.m. on I-40. State police say that bus struck an overpass support structure as it was traveling westbound.


Mayor Battle to hold State of the City address

Friday at noon, Mayor Tommy Battle will hold the State of the City address at the north hall of the Von Braun Center. While the main topics of his address aren't known, many believe he will address the new industries and businesses that are setting roots in Huntsville.
