HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

You've probably heard of a crime ring. Well, we have a different sort of crime ring in this week's Huntsville Area Crime Stoppers.

This is a crime involving rings.

Surveillance video captured a blonde-haired woman at the jewelry counter at Larry's Pistol and Pawn on Highway 20 in Huntsville Sept. 26.

She's looking at rings.

When the clerks are looking away, she reaches for her pocket.

According to police, what she did was bring in a cheaper, fake ring. When the clerk was distracted, she switched that ring for a ring valued at over $2,600.

Police said she got into a black Chevy or GMC pickup truck with a gray colored primer tailgate.

All in all, the chances are good this different version of a crime ring will be broken here.
