FIRST ALERT WEATHER: Scattered rain showers starting off work week

(WAFF) -

Scattered showers can be expected throughout your Monday. Be sure to give yourself a few extra minutes for the morning drive because of the wet roads.  There also could also be a few foggy spots that you may have to slow down for.

We’re starting this morning with temperatures in the low-to-mid 60s and highs this afternoon won’t be a whole lot warmer, topping out around 70. The rain showers will taper off this afternoon, and most will be dry by the late evening. Skies will stay mostly cloudy tonight, and areas of dense fog could develop as lows drop into the upper 50s.

You'll see a mix of sun and clouds on Tuesday once the morning fog lifts. While there may be periods of mostly sunny conditions during the mid-week, I wouldn’t expect skies to stay totally clear for any extended period of time.

Highs will be into the mid-70s Tuesday with mid-to-upper 70s for Wednesday and Thursday. A stray rain shower can’t be ruled out on any one afternoon, but rain chances will be low through the middle of the week.
