FIRST ALERT: Police still searching for missing Fayetteville woman; 2 TN police officers shot, suspect dead

Fayetteville police search for missing woman

The Fayetteville Police Department is asking for your help in locating 19-year-old Hanna Russell. Russell was last seen Tuesday morning wearing jeans and a dark hoodie. Russell is 5'5" and 115 pounds. She has strawberry blonde hair and gray eyes. If anyone has any information please call the Fayetteville Police Department Communications at (931) 433-4522.

2 officers shot, suspect dead in Tennessee

2 police officers were shot while responding to a home invasion Thursday night in Hohenwald, Tennessee. When officers got to the home, the suspect began firing shots, striking two of the officers. The officers returned fire, killing the suspect. One officer was struck in the chest but was wearing a protective vest. The other officer was shot in the arm and airlifted to Vanderbilt for his injuries. His condition is unknown at this time.

Cooler start to Friday

Temperatures will be noticeably cooler Friday morning with temps ranging from the upper 30s to the mid-40s for many of you. Be sure to grab the jacket on your way out this morning!
