FIRST ALERT WEATHER: Soggy start to Thursday with skies clearing by the afternoon

(WAFF) -

This Thursday morning will start with scattered rain showers but any rain should be out of the Valley by 10 a.m. Skies will clear and become sunny by the afternoon. Most of us will start out near 60° this morning but highs should push into the lower 70s by the afternoon.

Clear skies will cause temperatures to fall quickly, dropping into the lower 40s with upper 30s possible for some of our typically cooler areas.

Look for mostly sunny skies Friday afternoon with highs into the upper 60s. Clouds will increase Friday night ahead of our next weather maker, but it will still be a pleasant evening for football games or for any other outdoor plans.

Skies will be mostly cloudy Saturday with widespread rain to our west. Showers, and even a few thunderstorms will be spreading to the east into the afternoon. Highs Saturday should stay in the mid-to-upper 60s, as showers become likely across the Valley for the evening.  Some of that rain could be heavy at times making for a soggy night of trick-or-treating.
