HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

We all know it's never a good idea to leave valuables in your vehicles.

One man found that out the hard way, even though his vehicle was parked right at his home.

More on the search for the thief in this week's Huntsville Area Crime Stoppers.

Police say the man they're looking for was seen clearly walking out of the Walmart on University Drive Sept. 12 as part of a quick shopping trip - a trip using stolen credit cards.

It started on Maximillion Drive in Madison. Police say the victim is a man in that neighborhood, who left his wallet wedged between his seats.

The crook was able to get in, get the wallet and go to town with those cards.

The thief is seen on surveillance video in what looks to be the electronics section at Walmart.

There appears to be some trouble using a stolen card here, and at the main checkout at the front of the store.

Unfortunately, this thief was able to use the cards successfully before the victim was able to cancel the cards.

Again, the crook was wearing an an orange t-shirt trying to make off with stolen green.

If he looks familiar, you could be putting some money into your wallet.

There's a reward of up to $1,000.
