FIRST ALERT WEATHER: Grab the umbrella! Wet and windy Tuesday in the forecast

(WAFF) - You can expect another cool and rainy day for this Tuesday. That's not to say it will be pouring rain all day long, but showers will be somewhat periodic throughout the day. You'll want to keep the umbrella handy if you'll be out for any extended time. Temperatures won't warm up much thanks to the clouds and a strong east wind at 15-20 mph and winds could gust as high as 30 mph.

Temperatures will start out this morning in the upper 50s and highs will only top out in the low-to-mid 60s. Scattered showers will continue tonight and into Wednesday morning. Temperatures will hold steady or even warm a couple degrees, starting Wednesday in the lower 60s.

Look for cloudy skies Wednesday morning with scattered rain showers. The rain should taper off into the afternoon and highs will top out around 70.  The clouds should begin to clear late, but should fill back in overnight, as lows fall into the lower 50s.

Skies will be partly cloudy Thursday and highs should climb into the low 70s. The clouds will decrease through the day leading to clear skies overnight, which should be the coolest night of the upcoming week with lows in the mid-40s.

Skies will be mostly sunny Friday with a high around 70, as clouds increase Friday night, keeping temperatures milder. We'll see mostly cloudy skies Saturday with rain ongoing to our west. Some of the scattered showers could make it in by late Saturday afternoon, but it's looking like most of the heavier rain holds off until overnight and into Sunday.
