(WAFF) -

Governor to make jobs announcement

Governor Bentley is set to make an exciting announcement about jobs coming to the Huntsville area. While it's unknown what jobs are coming to north Alabama, many city and county leaders will attend the announcement in Montgomery. Bentley's announcement is set for 2 p.m. Tuesday and will be available through live stream on WAFF.com.

Rainy, windy Tuesday in the forecast

Grab your raincoat because we will have rainy conditions for most of Tuesday. While it won't rain all day long, periodic rainfall will happen throughout the day. Winds will be at 15-20 mph and will help keep temperatures lower today, hovering in the low-to-mid 60s.

Government shutdown avoided, debt ceiling raised

Republican and Democratic leaders have come to a consensus and raised the debt ceiling, thus avoiding a potential government shutdown. The new debt ceiling also lifts the domestic and defense budget caps for the next two years. A vote on the proposal could come as soon as Tuesday.
