FIRST ALERT: Police search for gunman in TSU shooting; Man, woman found shot to death in Birmingham

Police search for gunman

A shooting on the campus of Tennessee State University left one person dead and three others wounded. Police are actively searching for the gunman in the shooting. No word yet if any of the victims are students or their identities. A campus-wide lockdown was lifted but all on-campus activities were cancelled for the day.

Man, woman found dead in car

This just in, police in Birmingham have just discovered the bodies of a man and woman found shot to death in their car. The car was found near Woodward Park. Stay tuned for more information on this developing story.

Controlled fire exercise planed for Friday

Redstone Arsenal will be conducting a controlled live fire training exercise Friday morning. Arsenal officials say that the fire will simulate that of an airplane crash and will cause large smoke clouds to be seen for miles from the Arsenal. 

Hurricane Patricia strengthens

Hurricane Patricia continues to strengthen as it churns in the Pacific, heading for the Mexican coastline. Patricia is now a Category 5 hurricane with winds reaching up to 200 mph.

    Army Reserves member, Cayln McLemore has been missing since Wednesday, June 20. According to a Jacksonville news station McLemore was participating in a 25-day leadership training course at Camp Blanding and was sent out Wednesday morning with dozens of classmates for a land navigation assignment. The exercise, which involves individual soldiers finding rally points in the woods before returning to a designated location, should only have taken a couple of hours, ...
