HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

The UAH Chargers begin WCHA play this weekend with Alaska-Anchorage in town.

Although it's early in the season, these points will matter in conference play, which makes this weekend important for the home team.

Now it's WCHA play. And that's what we're looking for,” said UAH Head Coach Mike Corbett. “As much as we want to help the league in our non-conference, and it was great to be able to do that, and gain some confidence. Now we're in WCHA play, and a little of it is everybody knows the pecking order of when you're favorite and not favorite. This is one of the weekends where we're favorite coming in as a home team.”

The Chargers are 1-1 on the season. Game one of the series is set for Friday, with game two set for Saturday at the Von Braun Center.

The puck drops at 7:07 for each game.
