FIRST ALERT WEATHER: Slightly warmer start to Wednesday as temperatures continue to climb

(WAFF) -

It’s not as chilly for your Wednesday morning, but temperatures are as cool as the lower 40s in some spots so you may still want a jacket for a few hours.  We’ll warm up quickly under sunny skies this morning push temperatures into the lower 70s by lunchtime with highs near 80° this afternoon.

There will be a few passing clouds this afternoon, but nothing really substantial to block out the sun. Skies will be clear this evening and temperatures will drop quickly after sunset, bottoming out in the lower 50s.

We’ll stay dry to end the work week as the warming trend continues and highs reach the low 80s for Thursday and low-to-mid 80s Friday. Clouds will increase Saturday, and a stray shower is possible, especially in northwestern Alabama. Lows will stay in the mid-to-upper 50s that night heading into Sunday.
