FIRST ALERT: Classes to resume at Snead State; Construction on Flint River Bridge rescheduled for Wednesday

(WAFF) -

Classes resume at Snead State

Classes at Snead State Community College will resume Tuesday morning following a threat made last week in the online message board 4Chan. College president Dr. Robert Exley said the campus will remain vigilant and will have support from law enforcement officers. Dr. Exley added there was no new information about the person responsible for a post.

Cool start to Tuesday morning

This morning, many of you will start out in the lower 40s with patchy frost. Temperatures should warm quickly though, topping out into the mid-70s for this Tuesday. A slight warm up is in the forecast for this work week but another cold front will be making its way to the Valley by next week.

Flint River Bridge construction begins Wednesday

Work on the Flint River Bridge has been rescheduled for Wednesday at 9 a.m. The bridge repairs will last until 2 p.m. Wednesday but could take longer if weather delays the repair work. Previously, crews were to begin repairs Tuesday morning but made the decision to reschedule. Be sure to take Maysville Road or Moores Mill Road to avoid any traffic backups.
