FIRST ALERT WEATHER: Chilly, frosty start to Monday morning, temps reaching into the 70s by afternoon

(WAFF) -

It’s another chilly morning across the Valley with areas of frost lasting until around 9 a.m. Temperatures should warm up quickly this morning under sunny skies, with readings reaching the mid-60s by lunchtime with highs around 70° this afternoon.

You can expect clear skies Monday evening as temperatures drop quickly after sunset. Lows should bottom out near 40° for Tuesday morning.

We’ll be warming up over the course of this week with afternoon highs will be into the mid-70s by Wednesday and closer to 80° on Thursday. Our nights will be getting milder as well. Lows should be back into the 50s by Wednesday night.

We stay dry through the work week with plenty of afternoon sun and clouds cover increases heading into the weekend. The chance for rain will also be going up then. We may see an isolated shower late Saturday, but steadier rain should move in for Sunday.
