(WAFF) - We're starting this morning in much the same fashion as we did Wednesday but will be a degree or two warmer with temperatures ranging from the low 40s into the upper 40s. There could be some shallow ground fog, but you won't have to deal with anything too widespread or dense.
We'll warm up quickly with sunny skies, and temperatures should push into the mid-to-upper 70s by noon and highs topping out in the mid-80s. Skies should stay clear for much of tonight, but clouds could roll into the Valley by dawn Friday as a cold front heads into the area.
The cold front may also produce a few brief Friday morning rain showers, but many will stay totally dry. Any clouds clear out by the late morning, and skies should be mostly sunny for the rest of the day with highs in the lower 70s.
If you're heading out to those Friday night football games, be sure to bring with you a jacket as lows should dip into the low-to-mid 40s.
The weekend will be cooler, with highs staying in the 60s both days, with nighttime lows dipping near 40, meaning some will likely see upper 30s for the first time this fall.
