Lamar Odom fighting for life

(WAFF) -

NBA players and estranged wife Khloe Kardashian have been at the side of Lamar Odom at a Las Vegas hospital after Odom was found unresponsive at a legal brothel in Nevada.
   Good morning, Trent Butler here.
This morning, doctors are treating the former pro basketball star for a drug overdose.  Friends and loved ones say Odom is fighting for his life.
Here in the Tennessee Valley, a Jackson County man who killed his first wife will learn his fate today.
Barry Whitton was convicted of beating his wife Michelle to death with a shotgun.  This morning, Jonathan Bradford will have the latest in a live report.
More and more of you are going out and buying your own home security camera systems.  Huntsville police may have a much better chance of catching one thief since a homeowner's video shows the man swiping things in broad daylight.
Yes, it's cool this morning, but the temps are doing to drop even further this weekend!  David Ernst will have the lowdown on the lower temps.  Join David, Margo Gray and me for the Thursday edition of WAFF 48 News Today!

David: Showers and storms ongoing across the Valley

    Saturday, March 25 2017 5:50 PM EDT2017-03-25 21:50:37 GMT

Showers and storms will be ongoing across the Valley this evening. The most widespread rain will be over northeastern AL, but additional scattered storms will track into the Shoals from the west. That round of stormy weather will head east with time and should be out of the Valley after midnight. The threat for severe storms is low, but a few strong storms are possible.
