FIRST ALERT WEATHER: Cooler start to your Wednesday morning with sunny skies for the afternoon

(WAFF) -

Temperatures are noticeably cooler for your Wednesday morning compared to Tuesday. Many of us are starting the day 10-15° cooler with temperatures ranging from the low 40s into the upper 40s. There could be some shallow fog right at the ground, but we won’t be dealing with widespread dense fog like Tuesday.

Skies will be sunny throughout the day, and temps will warm quickly into the low-to-mid 70s by lunchtime with highs approaching 80. Skies will stay clear tonight, and lows should fall into the mid-to-upper 40s for Thursday.

Skies will be sunny once again Thursday afternoon as highs push into the lower 80s with lows in the 50s as a cold front approaches. There will be a few more clouds Friday as the front passes, bringing with it a chance for a stray sprinkle.

There will be more of a cool-down behind this front compared to the one that came through late Monday. Highs will likely stay in the 60s over the weekend and lows dipping into the lower 40s.

If skies stay completely clear, there is a chance that some areas may dip into the 30s and experience the first frost this fall. We’ll start warming up next week, but it won't be a return of summer-like conditions.
