Birmingham PD confirm officer-involved shooting

Birmingham police confirm that 1 person was injured in an officer-involved shooting Tuesday night. Police say that two officers were checking out a suspicious vehicle when the driver exited the vehicle holding a firearm. The man was taking to UAB for his injuries and is in stable condition. The officers were unharmed. The State Bureau of Investigation is investigating the shooting.

3 students injured in shooting near TSU campus

At least three people were injured when gunfire erupted near the campus of Tennessee State University. Police say that the three injured are students from Middle Tennessee State University, Vol State and TSU. One of the victims is in critical condition at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. The other two victims are recovering from minor gunshot wounds.

Democratic debate delivers

Tuesday night's Democratic presidential debate was the first time all five candidates took to the stage, answering questions about issues and their competitors' stance on policies. One of the biggest takeaways from the night was Bernie Sanders' thoughts on the Hillary Clinton email scandal, saying that the American people are sick and tired of hearing about Clinton's emails. Noticeably absent from the debate? Vice President Joe Biden, who has yet to make a decision on a presidential bid.

Cooler start to your Wednesday morning

Your Wednesday morning will start out with slightly cooler temperatures than you saw Tuesday morning. Fog will be spare and likely won't affect your morning commute into work. Temperatures should warm into mid-to-upper 70s with sunny skies for your afternoon.
