(WAFF) - Foggy morning with above-average temperatures once again
There will be a few foggy spots around the Valley this morning, but that fog won't be as widespread as it was Wednesday. Skies will be mostly sunny for your Thursday morning, although cloud cover will increase through the day. It's still going to warm up quickly, and we should be around 80° by lunchtime.
Afternoon highs will top out in the upper 80s with a few stray showers developing. Any rain today would be brief and isolated, although the rain could still be heavy for the short time it's falling. Skies will stay partly cloudy tonight as lows begin to fall into the low-to-mid 60s for Friday morning.
A cold front approaches the Valley the on Friday. While It won't be as warm, highs should still be above average in the mid-80s. Scattered showers will develop along that front for your Friday afternoon. There could be a few thunderstorms as well, but the threat for strong-to-severe storms is very low.
The threat for steadier rain will last longer into Friday evening, which means you should have your rain gear handy if you're heading out to those Friday night football games.
