Tonight at 10: A wreck involving a Coca Cola truck on I-565, Barry Whitton convicted for the murder of his wife and Huntsville City Schools parent meetings

A bad wreck on 1- 565 involving a Coca Cola truck and a vehicle ,backed up traffic for miles. In the end, three cars were involved .We’ll take you to the scene tonight at 10.
 
The Jackson County man ,accused of killing his wife in 1997, is  found guilty.The jury convicted Barry Whitton today after about two hours of deliberations. Prosecutors say Whitton beat his first wife Michelle in the head with a shot gun. Her body was later found in a shallow grave.
 
Huntsville city schools held the first of several parent meetings tonight. The purpose of the meeting was to familiarize parents with new rules and regulations, the updated Code of Conduct, and share other  new improvements. Reaction to the new rules was mixed.  We’ll  tell you why tonight at 10.

    According to our news gathering partners at the Decatur Daily, much of the  Decatur City Schools' student body will start the 2018-19 school year in a new location. The district has embarked on the largest building expansion in its history, at a cost of about $100 million.  This unprecedented move will impact nearly half of all students in the district and every student in grades 9-12, a mobilization of students that has not seen since integration in the 1960s.  Deca...More >>

    The Huntsville Police Department is investigation two shootings that occurred Sunday night.  The first call came in around 11:30 p.m. Residents at the Twickenham Village apartment community reported hearing 4-5 gunshots in the area.
