LOOK AHEAD: Sunny Friday with temperatures reaching upper 80s

(WAFF) -

Plenty of sunshine for Friday

Your Friday morning will start off with a bit of fog that’ll be a bit more widespread than it was Thursday. Temperatures will warm quickly, and highs should top out in the upper 80s this afternoon.

As high school games kick off, temperatures should be falling into the upper 70s with readings closer to 70° as they’re winding down. Mainly clear skies will continue through the night, and lows should drop into the low-to-mid 60s.

Saturday starts with mostly sunny skies, although patchy fog is likely once again, but should lift by mid-morning. We'll see plenty of sunshine into the afternoon, with highs topping out around 90°, making Saturday the warmest of the upcoming week.

A weak cold front is inching towards the Valley overnight Saturday. Clouds will increase and a stray shower can’t be ruled out. Lows should stay in the mid-60s. We’ll see a little more cloud cover Sunday and isolated showers could develop.

Our weather stays somewhat unsettled into the next work week with the front stalled out to our south. Isolated showers and storms are possible early into next week, but there will be plenty of you that stay rain free on any one day. Highs next week should be near or slightly below average in the low-to-mid 80s.  Overnight lows should drop back into the lower 60s after the weekend.
